Rice and Chicken and Anything Really!

So last week after we had taco's for dinner, my mum saved some of it for her lunch and added some rice to the mix. She said that it was super delicious and that we should have it for dinner sometime!

So last night we put together a quick and easy 20 minute meal that was delicious and nutritious all at the same time. This is what you need, portion size is up to you according to how many people are serving:

-Chicken breast
-Green/red peppers
-Mushrooms
-Can of corn
-White rice
-Taco seasoning

Once you've for your ingredients it's simple really. Just cut the chicken up into small pieces and cook in a pan. Cook vegetables with the chicken and prepare the rice with the taco seasoning. Let the rice soak up all the flavour. Once it's all done done, blend rice with the other ingredients and serve.

You can add or take anything out of this recipe as you please. We just used what we had available!

Putt Hutt

So I did a little exploring today in Cambridge and I don't know if many of you know but we totally have an indoor mini putt and no... I am not referring to the one at Ibowl, I am talking about the one in the Petsmart plaza right in the corner!

If you're looking for fun and you know some people who can have a good time, then I totally recommend Putt Hutt. I took my family there today and had a blast. After a few laughs, a nut shot and a hole in one it was a definite smile maker and fave us a funny story or two to share.

Sunday Roast

I could not tell you how long it has been since we had a roast at my house. We usually had it every Sunday and all of a sudden it stops. I don't know how my dad prepares it but any roast will do as long as it brings you to the table with your family on a beautiful Sunday evening. Plenty of vegetables and a delicious dessert to finish it off.

Try something different and prepare a roast tonight! Invite your friends!

Taco's Tonight

Have you seen that commercial yet for Old El Paso? Well it definitely happened to my family tonight. Over the last week or so I have been trying to get my family to make some taco's.

Now I am not a big fan of red meat. In fact I try to avoid it as much as possible. So my mum and I got creative and found ourselves some chicken and made taco's with that!
It is easy to do and fun to make. I would post a recipe, however we sort of made it up as we went. All we did was get the kit from our local super market and just grabbed our favorite vegetables and mixed it all together!

It's loads of fun to do being able to cook everything and let the whole family make their own meals at the dinner table. It brings you together and creates some laughs!

Give it a try! Make some taco's tonight!

Purpose of This Blog

Hi there and welcome to my blog.

Here you are going to find new ways to make life a little different in an active and healthy way. Most of my blogs will consist of recipes and activities that you can do to make life a little more interesting.

Just so you are aware, I am not a nutritionist or a dietitian and any recipes I put up here are mainly for creativity and to make your regular routine into something fun!

I will also be getting out there to try and find local activities in the KW area to give you something new to do if you've not had the chance to explore what we have. For example, I intend on celebrating my birthday by going paint-balling! Who wouldn't want to do that? Or even go rock climbing!

I'll try and keep this blog updated a few times a week so there are new things for you to see every time you check it out!
